Our Ally, Alberto Roca of MinorityPostDoc.org invites us to participate in the return of the Diversity in Science(DiS) Blog Carnival whose theme for June is Pride Month-- LGBT scienceand community of scientists:
Peruse the past carnival editions for submission ideas. A list of suggestedtopics is also found at that link. The submission deadline is June 27.
Roca facilitates organizing the overall DiS Carnival Blog while the specifichost for June is blogger Dr. Jeremy Yoder who will edit submissions for his blog "Denim and Tweed". A carnival is one blog post organizedby a rotating editor who collects writings, links, photos, etc. submittedon a central theme.
If you have your own blog, then please write a post for Pride month andsend the link to Jeremy using the instructions found at the link above.
If you have no blog, then please write a couple of paragraphs (and includeany photos if desired) to be emailed to Jeremy (see link above).
The issue is timely since, for example, even the National Academies haspointed out the need to engage LGBT populations in health studies:
Science writing online can educate the public and especially future STEMand biomedical trainees about academic literature/reports.
